Mother’s Day
Mother’s Day feels different this year.
I can’t help but wonder… how many?
How many Mother’s Days do I have left with my own mom?
How many do I have left with my children?
The truth is, none of us know.
Any day could be our last, and yet most days we move through life as if time is guaranteed—comfortable in the quiet assumption that there will always be more.
But the moment we’re faced with our own mortality, everything shifts.
Suddenly, what matters becomes clear.
Suddenly, we find purpose.
We become intentional.
The question is—why do we wait?
Why does it take uncertainty to remind us to be present, to be grateful, to truly show up for the people we love?
We should be living that way already.
Life is easy to take for granted. Days blur together. We assume there will always be another holiday, another call, another visit.
But one day, there won’t be.
So this Mother’s Day—and every day—don’t hold back.
Say the words. Make the call. Show up.
Make sure the people you love know exactly how much they matter.
Because the truth is simple:
We don’t know how many we have left.
